CASI XML Standard

All of the objects in the CASI database model have an equivalent XML representation which allows information to be exchanged and exported. The XML specification provides a formal data exchange schema that all CASI scheme information can be expressed in.

The CASI XML Standard was first published in 2004 and since then has only undergone minor revision in full consultation with our clients and the industry. This means that our data providers can develop IT system with confidence that the data submission and exchange criteria will not change suddenly, generating additional costs or development overheads.

The need to maintain robust data exchange routes between systems is core to the CASI design philosophy and we have developed close working relationships with all of our data partners who supply information into CASI systems.
